Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Cornwall cyclists!

Time to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy 2018 – with all the cycle adventures you hope for.

We hope you can join us for our family seasonal ride along the Camel Trail to Padstow.   All welcome – and all ages.  Meet 10 am Saturday 30th December, Borough Arms car park, Dunmere (PL31 2RD).  Cafe stop en route at Wadebridge Co-op, PL27 7DA.  At Padstow, we normally have a bit of a walk  around the harbour and have lunch before cycling back.

Ride is approximately 11 miles each way – but obviously, if this is too far, it is possible to cycle back from the coffee stop. Hybrid or mountain bikes are probably most suitable for the Camel Trail but road bikes OK too.

Further info from ride leader, David:  07718 483875

We hope to see you there!

Could the Penzance Group be the one for you?

If you enjoy cycling but are not so keen on being part of a road cycling training group where the aim is to build speed and endurance,  the Penzance Group may well be for you.  As a sub-group of Cornwall CTC (and part of Cycling UK) the aim will be to explore the local countryside at a pace which is comfortable for all participants.  This is why Andy will shape the ride to suit those who join him on a Sunday – if 10 miles is your maximum, he will accommodate that.  Equally,  if you are happy to spend longer out on the ride, he will make sure you get a good ride. The social side is important too and it should be possible to chat with your fellow cyclists both on the ride and at the cafe stop.

The next ride of our CTC Cornwall Penzance Group  is on Sunday 3rd December, 2017.  Meet 10 am, Lands End Cycle Hire, Loder Sail Loft, Long Rock, TR20 9TT. Parking and loos at Jordan’s Cafe, Station Carpark, Marazion TR17 0AA – about 100 m from Lands End Cycle Hire – grab a coffee before the ride!  Further info from ride leader:  Andy 07811 284502.
